Okay I have a blog :eek: ...

links in the Sig. for any1 who wants to check it out. I didn't want to clutter this forum up too much with how I'm doing each day but wanted a good place to keep track - and it shouldnt be any problem for any1 whos interested to click the link in the sig. & add it to their favorites.

I'm basically doing it for myself - as I really think it will motivate me to play better. I do not plan on getting caught up in the blogging world tho as many ppl seem to do since so many out there are about poker which is such a common interest.

My new goal prob isn't long enough variance wise - but i think i can do it and wanna see how it goes. From there I'll try to come up with new goals every so often and update at least once per day.

We'll see how it goes.

With the new 120x60 button TP just provided you'll need to upload it to blogger and change the link. I was just stealing it from TP's server. It'll be easier this way. Or, just copy the new code from mine and paste it in. :thumbsup:

Hey JD, nice blog and great work rebuilding. My one suggestion is damn man, that brown on your blog has got to go. It totally makes it nasty to read.

Although it could be me because i am using a mac and safari.

I agree!

The white text on blue background is sort of painful to read.

has some good templates that you can use.

I think the problem there is that a lot of it is actually not white, but rather iron grey, which is too close to blue.

Just go to my site and 'view page source' and just copy the links section from mine and paste it in your's. The only change you'd have to make is either a) delete the link to your blog (kinda pointless :)) or b) change that link so that it links to my blog :thumbsup: .

I'm also thinking of toying around in Paint Shop Pro to come up with a new header for my blog. Would any of the other bloggers on this site be interested in a semi-uniform header that features the fact that we all reside here at TP?

I have had many blogs but thought Id start a new one and try to keep up with this one so here it is. This one isnt strickly poker only blog it also keeps up with my life and what to do after losing a child.

Cool idea... and even if they aren't all uniform, it would be cool is a small PART of them was uniform.... a small TP logo in the corner or something like that.

I'd love to get more bloggers on board here, and this couldn't hurt.

Alrighty then, I'll get to work on it in the next couple days. I've got a few ideas for what they'll look like.

I'll most likely be incorporating the actual title of your blog (eg. "Don't Just Win - Dominate") right into the image of the blog so I'll need to know what you want it to say. I'll also make the original .pspimage files available to anyone wanting to edit them on their own.

No need to let me know what you want them to say yet. Once I get something going, I'll start a new thread with examples and the like.

LOL. I automatically use the "1" when signing up on the internet for anything because Nikita is always taken. But I prefer Nikita.

It's funny, I didn't even realize that at the forum here, I could use Nikita. I just didn't bother checking the availability and just signed up as I normally do. But it's not so bad, it matches all my poker accounts that way.

Well, I'll throw my hat into the ring for anyone that is interested... I've had it for a while now, but I haven't been diligent about updating it. Hopefully with all you guys blogging, it will inspire me to do it more often! Mine is a casino bonus whoring/poker blog type thing. I throw in some other day to day bs in as well...

Please note that (other than a discreet banner at for Poker Tracker - which is more of a Public Service Announcement than an ad - at the very bottom of this site), TP.com is ad free. Why? Because ads are ugly and annoying.

I have one ad on my blog, and although it may degrade my content or be seen as annoying to others, I'll take the $60/month. I'm a whore.

I stand corrected. I am shocked that you are able to make that kind of money from an ad on your blog. How many readers do you have?

I dont make enough Ad money.. I get 4000 hits a month.

Just ads that you can get in various places like google.
But TP has booooooed me so I wony go into too much detail.
Plus I do agree that the make the site very ugly no matter how good you are at blending them in.
