Suggestions for a Clean Computer

Okay guys, I just ordered my laptop and should be up and running this weekend. I bought it specifically for poker.

Sites I have done:
Empire
Party
UB
Absolute
Paradise
Expekt
True
Noble
Stars
Pacific

Think that is all of them. Time to bonus whore some more. Someone want to point me in the right direction?

PShabi 04-27-05 11:35 AM

I suggest you let me PM you my information and you create an Empire account for me. :D

omahilo 04-27-05 11:43 AM

okay...

Well for easy bonuses you should do Multipoker, PokerNOW, Eurobet, or intertops. Since they are party skins you will only be able to do one unless you can get some more clean computers so choose wisely. They always have the easiest deposit/reload bonuses to clear.

If you can get those four somehow... either through another computer or whatever I would think go and do FTP. FTP's bonus is harder but you play 1/2 so it wont be THAT bad.

GamingClub has a nice bonus too... $200 in bonus I believe and it releases in $20 parts but you have to move up in limits as you keep clearing the bonus but its better then some bonuses.

After this I would do Bodog... 10 and 20% regular bonuses... each bonus is 6x raked hands so kind of like party.

After this I say go Cypto skins.... Pokerplex ($50 bonus each month), Cribbean Sun ($40 bonus each month), and Interpoker (100% match up to $100 each month).

After that it looks like you got the rest of the major sites so you should be good to go. I would stay away from some of the smaller sites for now since there is no HE traffic and def. wont be any O8 traffic.

But if you heed my warning here are some smaller sites....

Pokermountain has a 100% deposit bonus up to $500, Everest Poker has the same thing I believe.

Good luck to you if you do Poker Mountain and Everest lol.

PShabi 04-27-05 11:59 AM

FYI, Eurobet does not offer any reload bonuses.

Talking Poker 04-27-05 12:00 PM

for sure, looks worthwhile.... Dude, you haven't even done yet!

Work your way down this list:

If you are chasing bonus money, you also MUST set up an account. As a bonus - you think you've seen bad players at other sites... Wait til you see these guys!

GeoffM 04-27-05 12:03 PM

I have signed up at Pokerroom, but can't remember what info I gave them and the bonus was never issued when I made a deposit (I don't think).

Not sure. I guess I'll have to create a new email address to use on the sites I am going to whore. Damn, I already have like 4 hotmail accounts :( .

I just realized too, I can open an account at Pokernow from work, so I can hit up 2 more Party Skins :D .

omahilo 04-27-05 12:04 PM

your right Pshabi but they still have a deposit bonus... 25% up to $50.

TP... I forgot Doyles Room, how is that site anyways? Ive heard it some good things and some bad things.

GeoffM 04-27-05 12:06 PM

Doyles Room is new, no O8 established there I don't believe.

Talking Poker 04-27-05 02:01 PM

I have yet to play, but I did check it out... It's new, but promising. Definitely worth checking out.

omahilo 04-27-05 02:09 PM

I found a new site you might want to check out...

its a pokerroom skin and has the same deposit bonus as pokerroom but its only 6x raked hands and no time limit to clear.

TP can hook you up with a aff. link if he wants.

GeoffM 04-27-05 02:13 PM

I just noticed Intertops IS actually a Party skin, so I guess now I need to decide between pokernow, multipoker or coral.

omahilo 04-27-05 02:22 PM

I would go with Multi for sure... then either Inter, Euro or PokerNOW.

Penguinfan 04-27-05 02:44 PM

What kind of computer did you get? I am pretty sure I have the perfect computer for playing cards on-line. It's a Toshiba Satellite with a 17 inch widescreen display with hyperthreading. The widescreen/hyperthread is the key though. I can have two tables open side by side on the screen just SLIGHTLY smaller than on a normal monitor and no clicking back an forth from table to table, the processor runs both at the same time. Never that annoying clicking all-in by accident when the other table pops up.

Talking Poker 04-27-05 02:46 PM

As per request:

20% bonus up to $100.

omahilo 04-27-05 02:50 PM

lol sure doesnt take you long TP.

If I was you Geoff and if you like Pokerroom I would give this a try... 11K people online currently.

GeoffM 04-27-05 02:59 PM

I know nothing about computers, my dad ordered it for me :D .

My income tax return was a sweet $3200, so I figured why not splurge and buy a compact computer to allow me access to a few extra hours a day at a computer. I'm sure it will pay for itself within a month or 2.

It only sets me back ~$1,400, and it is specifically for poker ONLY, so basically anything with a cable connection will do for me, since the only thing it will have on the screen is poker sites and probably Limewire.

BrianSwa 04-27-05 03:07 PM

hmmmm

I think you should download as much porn as possible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! virus's here we come!!

Tony Cheval 04-27-05 05:21 PM

I definately can vouch for InterPoker. They recently bumped their MONTHLY 100% bonus to $100 (from $90 :D ), and as I've demonstrated, there are some spectacularly fishy players.

And thanks for picking up the Pokerroom skin, I started an account at PR some time ago to mess around with freerolls and such back when I was just learning, don't think I ever put money in it but it's kinda messed up my status there, so I'd just as soon start fresh. :p

ChipFish 04-27-05 06:19 PM

I may be investing in a new computer soon, with an extra monitor of course.
Mmmmmmmmmm 8-tabling. :D

GeoffM 04-27-05 07:01 PM

Wow, Interpoker has a monthly 100% bonus???

Guess I'll be getting some every first of the month :D .

Talking Poker 04-27-05 08:00 PM

It used to be even easie to clear - 300 raked hands for 90 bucks, but they just changed it this month. It's 8x the bonus amount... so, the full $100 (100% match, mind you) takes 800 hands. Piece of cake.

I don't like the interface, but the players are arguably the worst I have seen to date, and the $100 per month free money isn't bad either...

GeoffM 04-27-05 08:02 PM

I love how you just casually "slip" your referral bonus in there.

Wait for the new comp., that is definately my next target.

Talking Poker 04-27-05 08:19 PM

Nothing casual about it. Just making it nice an easy for you to find.

Tony Cheval 04-28-05 12:13 AM

Not a ton of O8 action at the moment, but c'mon, even you can learn to play HE for that bonus. :D

GeoffM 04-28-05 08:20 AM

Nah, I'll wait for O8 tables. I hate HE with a passion. It is honestly too basic a game and anyone can suck out. In O8 it is a lot more complex and suckouts don't occur nearly as often.

I'll be signing up at Intertops this weekend. Maybe I can learn Stud 8.

Split pot games are the best for clearing bonuses ;) .

GeoffM 04-28-05 09:24 AM

Think it will be Eurobet and Intertops.

TP, can't remember, do you have an affiliate for Eurobet? I'm sure you do, just too lazy to search.

Talking Poker 04-28-05 11:28 AM

This can't be true, can it? I mean, on basic principle alone, there are 4 cards (variables) in O8 and only 2 in HE. I would think in general, that would make it a lot more profitable (successful) to chase. There are more ways of sucking out, no?

Talking Poker 04-28-05 11:30 AM

Not yet... they are the ones being annoying and offering me $0 in total if my players are under a certain amount of total rake, which they owuld be, since I assume most people (like you) would just be hitting and running there for the bonuses...

I do have an intertops link though.

There are other non-Party skin sites you should really try though, at least to clear the first time bonuses and be able to take advantage of the reload offers when they have them. Read back through this thread and take a look at some of the suggestions you've been given.

GeoffM 04-28-05 11:35 AM

No, not necessarily. For the most past, when i am playing I know when someone is sharing an out with me to one half of the pot, but I will also know I have him beat to the high side. So he may think he is sucking out and winning, but I will give him a dose of reality (usually).

Basically, after the flop, I know who will win what if certain cards come up. It's a gift I have for this game. Days and weeks and months of dedication have helped me. I have to get a life outside of poker, IMO. :(

Windbreaker 04-28-05 12:26 PM

Some of the best sign up/monthly bonuses through affilates and the poker sites I know of: -> Most of these I have done myself and are legit.

I Global Media
Empire - $250 + $100 from empire + rake back
Party - $150 + $90 worth in gift certificates
EuroBet - $200/$500 + rake back
Intertops - $100 + rake back
*PokerNow will be taken over by Party soon - there's been a big fiasco involving rake back and what not....I believe you still can get the first time bonus -> some say it's $100 at 5x 20%, but do so at your own risk

Prima - most sites consider any dealt hand raked over $0.25 as a raked hand
Golden Tiger/Poker Rewards - $200 - 1000 raked hands + affilate offer worth $60 in gift certificates
Golden Riveria - $50 deposit bonus - +$20 stackable reload every weekend (Requires 100 raked hands to clear everything)
Bet Holdem - $100 - 700 raked hands + $60 gift certificates
Gaming Club - Up to $300 + $60 gift certificates
Bet365 - $50 - 250 raked hands + rake back

Crypto Sites
Caribbean Sun - $50 first deposit bonus after 250 raked hands + $40 monthly bonus after 500 dealt ($90 after 500 dealt hands) + either a rake back deal or entry to satellite for wsop
Interpoker - $100 monthly - 800 raked hands + rake back
Poker Plex - $50 monthly - 300 dealt + rake back
William Hill - 5 UK Sterlings an hour - up to 25 UK Sterlings monthly + rake back
UK Bet/Total Bet - Same as above but requires money to be set in UK funds instead of USD
Ritz Club - Same as above - for non US residents though
Classic Poker - $100 dollar sign up bonus - 500 raked hands -> no monthly bonuses

IPoker
Noble - $500 deposit bonus + $50 from talking poker
CD Poker - Free Poker Tracker/KEM cards + $100 (10x -> 1000 dealt hands)

Others
Paradise Poker - $50 cash instant + $50 bonus -> 500 raked hands over 0.25
Pacific Poker - $60 cash instant + upto $100 from site (rather difficult to clear)
Absolute Poker - $90 worth in gift certificates (expires Apr 30) or rakeback that doesn't take away from MGR. (Inital Deposit Bonus from Absolute is useless - can get it every week)
Sports Bet - $100 (site says it must be at 1/2 or higher - not true - cleared it at 0.25/0.50) -> 500 contributed rake (every flop you see = raked) + $60 gift certificate

Talking Poker 04-28-05 01:26 PM

Nope. You just need to move up in stakes and start playing for real money.

omahilo 04-28-05 01:36 PM

nice breakdown Wind...

Dont forget Bodog (20% deposit bonus and regular 10-20% reloads) and the pokerroom skins (pokerroom and Bayou Poker).

Windbreaker 04-28-05 01:39 PM

Never mentioned Bodog since I can't do it.....not available to Canadians. But there's plenty of affilate offers for those outside Canada.

I never mentioned Pokerroom/skins mainly because it's a bonus that's more geared towards the higher end player. In my opinion, it's only worth while if you play at least $1/2 -> and that's the barely worth while. If you play $2/4 then it should be fine.

Same thing goes for Ultimate Bet, Poker Stars, Full Tilt. Those bonuses are rather hard to come by in comparision some of the easily obtainable bonuses for lower limit players at Party/Prima.

The Cryptological skins should be for players with higher bankrolls. It's a nice monthly bonus, but useless if you bust out before you get the bonus.

GeoffM 05-02-05 09:29 AM

OK, so to update, I got this set up yesterday, I downloaded Intertops first and made a $100 deposit, then downloaded Party and Empire. I also downloaded PokerStars. I will now begin working my way down that list TP between reloads and such. PokerRoom is my next target.

omahilo 05-02-05 11:04 AM

Geoff if you like Pokerroom do BayouPoker as well, it is a pokerroom skin.

GeoffM 05-02-05 11:10 AM

Will do.

Omaha, how is the O8 traffic at Poker Room? I'd assume a lot more than most sites.

omahilo 05-02-05 11:22 AM

when I was clearing the deposit bonus then a reload bonus before the O8 traffic isnt bad at all. I was playing 1 1/2 table and 1 2/4 table to clear the bonus before along with some NLHE.

The site has good action and the interface isnt horrible but it just seems to take years to clear that bonus compared to what your used to on party.

GeoffM 05-04-05 03:07 PM

Update:

Cleared COMPBONUS :D .

TP, downloaded Pokerroom using your link, deposited $500. Working away on that bonus when I get home.

Is it in increments or entirely needs to be cleared?

omahilo 05-04-05 03:14 PM

entirely needs to be cleared.
