WSOP 2007 Fantasy Poker League - Free!
 

We did this , and it was a lot of fun. It's free and there are a ton of including FT gear, freerolls, and even a seat at the 2008 WSOP.

If you want to play:
-Make sure you have a account. Log in and click on "My Promotions" from your Cashier page and the click on "Fantasy Poker."
-Then either click on "Leagues" and the letter "T" or just and join (do not CREATE, just JOIN) the Talking Poker group. The password is tpftpf.
-Enter your picks (now, later, whenever) and have fun!

Got my picks. No real dark horses, but I think I have some strong perfromers who will do well.

It's my ultimate motivation... I am playing for SWAG! (and other stuff) ;)

Lame turnout so far.

Come on chumps - sign up and play. MAYBE I'll host a freeroll or added money tourney or something for the participants after it's over. Or maybe toss some cash (or a TP prize pack) to the winner.

Alright, I'm in. I've tentatively picked the first three events but I think I may be making some changes to them before the cards are in the air.

I like that we can change picks as we go along. There are some definitel changes I want to make for the non-hold'em events.

I was doing horrible. I completely missed a couple of events. However, Ivey's second in the recent stud event has pushed me up into the top 600 (ooooooo, aaaahhh)

No high hopes, but it is fun.

Plus, I suck at pools.

Hellmuth winning Event #15 is going to kill me. I'm pretty sure I didn't even have him on my team, even though I intended to go back and put him in for the Hold'Em events. Ooops.

When do the freeroll thingys start. Isn't it if you get top 1k in an event you get entered into a freeroll?

Allen Cunningham is one of my A players and Phil Hellmuth is one of my A players....oh yeah! :)

That's what it says. Apparently the freeroll for the event you finish in the top 1000 in goes off 2 weeks after the start day of the event you placed in.

Brag - Event #4 results got me a Hold'em PL Freeroll
 

If you are in the top 1000 of everyone for any event, you get to be in a freeroll.
Payouts look pretty good too, especially if all 1000 don't play (only 141 currently registered, top 45 get paid.
All should check your Fantasy status to see if you won one.

So we actually have to register ourselves? Where are these freerolls listed?

Ah, I see now... you log in to your account and it shows you what you're qualified for. Looks like I made the cut for Events 4, 7, and 9. I don't think I can play in any of them, but I'll register anyway - maybe I'll make the money by blinding off :)

I'm in Event 7 - PLO. I'm in like 3 more once they get them up :thumbsup:

Sweet, I figured I was not the only one.
I am hoping that most who placed don't notice and we have smaller fields, but we will see.

I've qualified for event 7 and 11 so far. PLO and stud, I'm definitely going to have to have no one show up for these in order to do well.

I am hoping to do well in the stud event, but none of my A team are still in. I have 2 B team members and one C. I did not include Daniel N, and am kicking myself for that right now. I'd love to do a stud freeroll, as I have been doing okay learning this game. (better than limit hold'em, that's for sure)

I made it into the NL event #28 thanks for Hellmuth and Evelyn Ng's performance in the realted event.

What have the numbers been like in your other Freerolls? My limit FR was 425.

We are about to start and it looks like there are 390 registered.

I haven't put much thought into my picks so far this year, but my $50k HORSE picks are sweet. :thumbsup:

I'm holding a slim lead w/only the Main Event left. Just wish I had Gus on my team.

I went with a bunch of lesser knowns and longshots for the Main Event, hoping to make the huge comeback I needed.

Out of the top 6 ( I am in 6th ) , I am the only person who has Gus...GO GUS!!

This was fun and I would do it again, but my pics absolutely sucked. I made 2 freerolls, cashed in one, and missed qualifying in another with a rank of 1003rd.

Wow... and I thought my picks sucked this year (says TP, after finishing 5th overall in 2006).

I qualified for 7 freerolls - registered for 5 and didn't play a single hand in any of them, forgot to register for the one one I could have played in, and am not going to bother registering for the one I qualified for on Saturday, since I won't be able to play in that one either. What a waste.

Oh well, at least that should up my "Player Added" fees and come off my rakeback. Oh, goody.

And the winner is.................. KURN!

1139th overall was enough to capture the Talking Poker league this year.
