Blibbity just told me that he got a PM from kkirk saying "forfeit," so we may need to head to the alternates list. Let's give him a day or so to respond, just in case... Definitely odd.

Haven't heard any complaints, but I'm getting a bit concerned. So... please give me updates, guys:

Penguin/bdawg - Not really worried about you guys. Both have been active lately. Let me know if there is a problem though.
fungus/drew - Same deal.
MathBabe/junYUN - Haven't seen MB in ages: Last Activity: 10-01-2005. Have you heard from her junYUN???
nutbag/eejit101 - eejit: Last Activity: 10-07-2005. Have you heard from him nutbag?
sjay2k/mrkoontz - What's the status of this one?

Lastly, I guess kkirk is gone, at least according to his one word PM to Blibbity and him not explaining himself here, so ahuth3r, you're up.

Here are the remaining alternates, who would be called as necessary next. I'll also post why I hope we don't need them, and why they ended up on the alternates list instead of the main list in the first place. Can you imagine if I had to find replacements for this many people right now?

Well, looks like we need a replacement for eejit. Would any of our (non-active) waiting list members like to volunteer? I think PMing them one at a time would be a waste of my time, so the first person to speak up (on the waiting list or not) get's eejit's spot.

For any matches not completed by the deadline, you're going to have to plead your case about who should win (if one person was mostly available and the other wasn't, the available person will move on), otherwise I plan to forfeit both players. I think a week and a half is plenty of time to be able to get ONE MATCH played, and I really don't want this dragging out for weeks longer than it's supposed to like last time.

Mrkoontz didn't front last night, hopefully he'll message me shortly to reschedule.

i posted this in the results as well - penguiinfan PMed me, he is too busy with other things going on and forfeited his match to me. Not sure how that is handled.

I'm going to be driving from L.A. to Chicago (with a stop in Vegas!) starting this (sunday) morning and won't get to a computer till fri or sat, so I'd like to request a forfeit from my non-existent opponent for round 1 since nobody posted yet and I was available up until now to play round one.


p.s. Yes, I do see the hypocricy in my statement, but I am at least giving advanced notice.

junYUN and I had a match planned for 3pm today... I've PM'd him, but 35 minutes later no response. How long should I wait before declaring him forfeiting?

Well, considering he was available for a week or so with no response from you, I don't know that it's quite right to declare him the loser so fast...

I really don't know how to handle this though, since he's the one missing the agreed upon match time.

Ugh... I can't even believe how many matches didn't happen in the 10 days people had to get them done. I suspect this will be the final TPFHUC, unless someone can think of a better system than this.

Please handle it however you think is appropriate. I wasn't trying to be declared a winner by default - just pointing out that it didn't look like the match would be happening today.

I'm hoping you guys (and ALL the other matches) can be worked out tonight. Otherwise, if it comes down to it, I seriously may take you all on myself. I really thought more people would be interested in the second chance thing, but I guess not.
