the one proper UK player is an assbag, the other is danish.
Watkinson FTW |
btw are they gonna show this years main event live on tv (PPV) like they did last year or is this years only on the wsop site
|
$19.95 @ 3:00 PM EST
|
Somehow the thought of paying $20 to listen to Phil Gordon for several hours just isn't that appealing. |
I'm not a big fan of Phil G's, but I thought last year's broadcasts was pretty good (especially for free).
|
Chip leader coming in, Phillip Hilm (w/ over 22 mil. in chips), if first to bust out after less than 90 minutes!!
GG donk:donkey |
That's crazy. Wow.
Anyone hack this year's live feed yet? |
Wowowowowowow.
Watkinson out!! re-raised allin w/ A7o, and called by massive chip leader by A9o:eek: Jerry Yang over 50 million in chips now. Just listening now, I have no idea about free live video feed. Would love to see it though. I will look around a little bit. |
scroll down to espn wsop. gogogogo
|
Awesomer. +Rep.
Ugh... stupid Ali whatshisface. Worst poker announcer ever. |
I click on it and i get a blank screen? Maybe I'll try with IE and non firefox
Edit: Yup |
someone posted this link at another forum. working so far.......... or this, not sure if it brings you to the same place |
This Jerry Yang guy is a monster (or so it seems). Ultra LAG.
I think I just heard them say 18 pots have been raiser preflop... and he's been responsible for 10 of them! |
26 hands in 2 hours. omfg I would kill myself.
|
Jesus Is My Savior, He Rains Down The Suckoutsssssss.
|
Are you guys watching this?????
:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: What a sick hand! |
oh wow :eek::eek::eek:
|
|
LOL donkaments
 Mayhem |
Sometimes, the horrendous play of the donks at the final table of these huge tourneys really bugs me. All in in the dark? I mean.... come on.
Ugh - this guy is shaping up to be a worse champion than Jamie Gold. |
this is def some weird playing
|
With 3.3 Million left and the pot 13.5 Million or so, was he really check/folding the flop?
|
Of course not. But there is 0 advantage to putting it in DARK.
And that play with AQ there is mediocre, at best. |
Yeah with AQ why did he not just push, he obviously decided he was playing that junk till the end.
I think Jerry thought he was pushing the guy in from the way he acted. It was a good call with JJ as a chip leader. Terrible play with AQ by Kahn. |
Well he was going to bet it on the flop anyway so I dont think the Dark push matters IMO
And if you wont push with AQs against this loose maniac what r u waiting for? AA? I actually dont mind his play that much -- although I likely would have just either pushed preflop or just called and taken a look at a flop. As played though, hes going all in on the flop anyway so... |
He could have:
-Flat called and taken a look at the flop. -Reraised all in. -Reraised less. -Waited until the flop before pushing, giving opponent a chance to lay down his hand if he REALLY misses the flop. By shoving dark, he's saying he want to see all 5 cards and opponent can not fold. I dunno. I just think it's stupid. You can say it doesn't matter and that's fine, but CERTAINLY there is no ADVANTAGE to the dark push there, right? If he had AA or something and wanted to guarantee action, that's one thing. But remember, he had AQ. |
Lol, Jaime Gold commentary.
|
PROGRAMMING NOTE: While the players are on dinner break, they're showing the 'Jamie Gold Comments On Final Table' show from ESPN, then the Stu Unger movie.
|
And now for something completely delicious!
Oh snap, Kravchenko just went allin, Yang going into the tank. |
Yang folded, still at 4 players.
|
"Nothing burps like bacon"
|
Kravchenko has to have the World Series Player of the Year locked up now... 5 cashes, 1 win and now final 4 of the Main Event.
|
Meanwhile, I was playing a $1 stud h/l tourney on Stars while watching this. I made it to 14th, had a 6 high straight cracked when the chip leader got an A high flush/6-4 low. Got a whole $4.something.
I hate poker. |
Actually I think they announced it earlier, apparently the ME doesn't count.
|
KOD holds up for Kravchenko and they're all pretty close now.
|
KOD holds up?
NO WAI! |
Ugh, really? So who was it?
|
11:40 p.m. And we're back. For those that were wondering, I've finished Sobe Adrenaline can No. 1.
I saw Jerry Yang at dinner with his family. Sitting at the Mah Jong, the Chinese restaurant at the Rio, he was guarded by his agent Oliver Tse who wouldn't let anyone talk to him. Right before play began, Tournament Director Jack Effel awarded Tom Schneider the 2007 WSOP Player of the Year award. Schneider won two bracelets during the WSOP. |
Short stack now has 40xBB... deep stacked 4-handed poker. I predict this comes down to Alex K. and Tuan Lam.
|
Heh, I'm actually weaning myself off caffeine again, it really doesn't do anything for me anymore, and I've just been in a pretty bad daze of late, felt like time for a detox. Think I had a bit of a withdrawal headache yesterday, but I'm feeling better today.
|
Thanks Mayhem
Awesome. How sweet is it that for the second year in a row we have free access to a live feed of the final table?
|
This guy won wsop POY. I think Jeff Lisandro came real real close. And yes, for some reason the ME doesnt count in POY standings. Gordon claimed it was because they wanted to have the presentation during the ME. They had a short presentation just before play resumed after the dinner break. He got a 40K check I think. |
OH SNAP.
The Mouth and Sheikan are now in the booth. Look out. |
I've only watched one hand and that was the replay where Watkinson is knocked out. This guys has Watkinson covered and he's acting like that??? I'm surprised Lee put up with that.
I have no problem with those that are very religious, but I think this guy is out of control! I somehow doubt God is concerned with whether or not this guy wins the ME. Maybe I'm wrong, but... |
Earlier, his wife was saying that he's winning because the whole family was praying so much. Oh my.
I wonder why God hates the rest of the WSOP players so much. |
I almost could see him acting like that if he was behind in the hand OR his tournament life was on the line. Neither of which was the case. |
Go Tuan! Big double up there, i knew he was in big trouble when raymond moved in but i don't think his play was all that bad there with Jerry's wide range of hands he's raising on the button. Go Canada!
|
well we got a new champion and Jerry Yang is his name
AQ vs 88 final hand flop 5Q9, turn 7, river 6!! |

Not sure which thread to post this in -- so I'll put it here
The South African guy -- WHY??????? You played squeaky tight the entire final table, then after u reraise preflop with Kings and an Ace drops, and donkey bets YOU MOVE ALL IN AGAINST THE CALLING STATION?????????? Lets forget about the fact that Yang called with a 5 (yes 5) kicker and that he would have been pretty damaged if he lost, but HES A CALLING STATION. Why oh why after playing so so tight would you make a play like this.... NOW I see why you were raising 5-7x the big blind always, because you didn't want to see any flops because you don't know what to do. That pot single handly won Yang the tournament, giving him 4.5-1 in chips going into HU |
