Phil Hellmuth Eliminated
Phill Hellmuth was all-in with A-Q, versus an opponent's pocket 7s. The 7s hold up, and a once short-stcked Phill Hellmuth is now eliminated.

TP...

how are the Stolzman's doing? is your 2% in both of them looking good so far or what?

or have neither one played yet?

BrianSwa 07-29-06 10:50 PM

sorry

I missread the hand I thought she raised $3,000 preflop to someone elses raise of 600. This is totally different now sorry

I thought she had raised 3k preflop to 600 chip raise which would of put $7200in pot right 3600 from her and 3600 from other guy then with dude betting on flop that would be half her stack there which if you put half your stack in on a safe flop like that you are gonna put the rest in correct?

thats why i said putting that much on TT and not calling that much on TT. I like TT alot its one of favorite hands so yes would of played hand same way but making that call. I think It was pretty easy lay down like you said the dude told her she was beat.

Steve got knocked out tonight. I left my cash game to have dinner with him (I'll elaborate on this in the thread with my updates), and he was still in, but getting short. He eventually ot all in with QQ vs. KK.

He said his M was around 11, there was a raise from 2 off the button, the SB (shorter stack than Steve) reraised and he pushed in. The first player folded and the SB called with KK. I know he regrets making the play, and I don't love it, but I don't hate it either. I mean, there are only two hands he's way behind, and because the SB was short, her reraise range could be a lot bigger than AA and KK...

Anyhoo, he's out and John plays tomorrow. Zy's boy plays tomorrow too, but I forget his name. actully, there are an assload of people who play tomorrow - lots of big names... you know, like Mark Petrillo.

omahilo 07-30-06 01:23 AM

tommorrow is the big day... good luck man, hopefully we hear good news.

jaeh00d 07-30-06 01:50 AM

Yes TP i wish you the best dude, we all know you will play smart, but at times the luck can take over. I wish you the best of it....

live poker is rigged

Farha Eliminated With Full House
John Phan raises pre-flop, and he is called by Joe Berry and Sam Farha. The flop comes 964, Phan raises, Berry calls, and Farha re-raises. Phan folds and Berry smooth calls. The turn brings another 6, and once again, Farha bets into Berry who just calls. The river brings a 10, and Farha moves all-in. Berry calls and Farha flips over pocket 9s for a full house. Berry shows pocket 6s, and Farha can't believe his opponent turned quads against his top set. Farha is eliminated.

Ouch! even worse...

Hardest Beat EVER
Jack Mahalingam is all-in for $5,000 and is called an opponent in late position. Mahalingam shows 88 and his opponent has 55. The flop is 655 and his opponent flops quads. The turn is a 9 giving Mahalingam a gut-shot straight flush draw (his only way to win). The river is the 7 giving Mahalingam the straight flush and the hand.

Talking Poker 07-31-06 06:42 AM

I was SUPPOSED to go broke with AQs tonight, but I didn't. Zy was railing me at the time and said he would have. That's not necessarily saying I played the hand perfectly, but AQ did try to break me.

Quint 07-31-06 04:46 PM

Couldn't happen to a nicer guy

Sean Sheikhan Eliminated
On a flop of 973 and $675 in the pot, the player in seat 2 bets $700. Sean Sheikhan raises to $2,000 and the player re-raises all-in for $10,000 more. Sheikhan makes the call and shows QQ while his opponent shows 99 for a set. The turn and river come 8K, and Sheikhan is eliminated.
